Child Development
Creating Safe Spaces for Children to Learn, Grow and Thrive
The challenge
Children from economically weaker and marginalised communities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana face severe barriers to education, health and nutrition.
Nearly 36% of children under five suffer from malnutrition and over 40% of school-going children lack access to quality early education.
Many, especially tribal, migrant and low-income children, grow up without proper learning opportunities, healthcare or family support, pushing them into child labour, domestic work or life on the streets.

Our approach
JPS works to ensure vulnerable children receive education, shelter, and care. Our Evening Study Centres help students in government schools strengthen their learning and reduce dropout rates.
Dedicated community workers in villages support children with education, health, and emotional well-being, ensuring continuity in their development.
We run hostels for street children, providing them with shelter, structured learning, and life skills to reintegrate them into society.
Additionally, our Bridge Schools give school dropouts and former child labourers a second chance for education, guiding them back into the formal schooling system.
