Livelihood & Skilling
Building Self-Reliance through Job-Oriented Skills
The challenge
Unemployment and underemployment remain major challenges in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, especially among rural youth, women, and tribal communities.
Nearly 55% of the rural workforce is engaged in informal labour, often with low wages, job insecurity, and no access to social protection.
Additionally, over 70% of youth lack formal vocational training, leaving them unprepared for skilled jobs in an evolving economy.
With limited access to industry-relevant skills, entrepreneurship support, and career-linked training, many individuals remain trapped in cycles of economic dependence.

Our approach
Jesuit Province Society bridges this gap through futuristic, industry-oriented employability training, providing formal vocational courses, entrepreneurship programmes, and leadership development initiatives.
Our Skill Development Centres and Industrial Schools offer diploma courses in carpentry, computer applications, electrical maintenance, refrigeration and air-conditioning, welding, and vehicle mechanics for men, while women receive training in tailoring, small-scale industries, and digital skills.
All courses integrate life skills and leadership training, ensuring individuals not only find employment but also gain the confidence to achieve financial independence and build self-sufficient futures.
