Women Empowerment
Enabling Women to Achieve Independence, Dignity and Leadership
The challenge
Women in Dalit, tribal, and migrant communities continue to face deep-rooted gender discrimination, economic exclusion, and violence, limiting their access to education, leadership roles, and financial independence.
In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, only 32% of women complete higher education, and nearly 60% remain in low-wage, unskilled jobs due to limited training and employment opportunities.
Many drop out before secondary school due to economic hardships, early marriage, and safety concerns, further reinforcing gender disparities.

Our approach
Jesuit Province Society is breaking these barriers by providing education, skill-building, and leadership opportunities for women.
Through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Dalit Women Federations, and Skill Development Centres, we create spaces for financial independence, entrepreneurship, and legal awareness.
Our initiatives equip women with life skills, vocational training, and mentorship, enabling them to challenge societal norms, secure sustainable livelihoods, and lead change within their communities.
By empowering women, we strengthen families, uplift entire communities, and break cycles of poverty and inequality.
